Job Details

  1. Run baler(s), as needed, safely and efficiently to our standards daily so we have clean, high quality baled textiles made ready for sale.

  2. Sorts and packs gaylords, carts, boxes or bags of benevolence items as needed in order to
    supply KARM and other ministries with needed items.

  3. Some warehouse workers may have the option to become forklift certified. If certified, warehouse workers must make sure the processed bale is weighed and clearly labeled with the weight.

  4. Cross trains regularly in as many areas as is necessary to assure that all jobs in the wholesale
    department are fulfilled.

Skills & Requirements

  1. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with an excellent command of the English language.

  2. Must have a commitment to KARM Stores’ mission and mission statement.

  3. Mechanical aptitude is very desirable.

  4. Must be adaptable to change, and able to multitask or shift focus quickly.

  5. Must have or learn understanding of stacking, wrapping , moving and storing pallets of odd materials on
    multiple levels including warehouse shelving.

  6. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment under some stress and time constraints.

  7. Must use and display excellent ergonomic body management skills in lifting, bending, stretching, walking,
    stair climbing, and standing.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY LEVEL
High level of activity with some physically challenging elements.

Stand – up to 100% of a standard work day.
Walk – up to 75% of a standard work day.
Use hands to perform required duties – up to 100% of a standard work day.

Lifting and Bending – up to 75% of a standard work day.

MANUAL DEXTERITY
Must be able to drive, lift boxes, grip textiles, wrap pallets with plastic film and type.
