Job Description
HR Duties:
- Responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and interviewing and background screening of candidates, as well as on-boarding new hires and maintaining training/learning files along with personnel files.
- Reports HR metrics and recruiting efforts on a weekly basis
- Execute HR strategies programs & policies that align with organizational goals and ensure consistent and fair application throughout the company.
- Provide timely and accurate service in the preparation of HR documentation such as contract offers, disciplinary, terminations letters
- Interpret policy and applicable employment legislation as needed
- Advises managers and supervisors on best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances. Develops further training as needed
- Investigate and resolve employee relations issues.
- Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all laws, policies and regulations.
- Maintain HR documentation such as HR templates & forms
- Perform administration and other duties outside their scope of work as assigned and required
- Provide training and support to managers
Payroll Duties:
- Timely and accurately prepare and disburse payroll processing and assist in a variety of payroll related functions.
- Collects, calculates, and imports payroll data from timesheets and timekeeping systems for payroll processing adhering to internal control processes.
- Updates payroll records by processing status changes, tax updates, direct deposit elections and other voluntary deductions.
- Assist with review of payroll reposts in preparation of bi-weekly payroll processing cycle.
- Benefits administration, including administration of all benefits and retirement, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-and-long-term disability and 401(k) plan.
- Knowledge of payroll systems (Paylocity preferred), including maintaining payroll operations by verifying time keeping records and processing weekly payroll as well as any deductions or withholdings to comply with state and federal law.
- Leave Programs, including, coordinating the support for all Leave of Absence requests according to compliance and regulations of the Family Medical Leave Act and related employment laws.

Requirements
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of Labor Federal & State regulations
- Knowledge in Compensation and Benefits
- Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point required.
- Proficient working in HRIS systems, Paylocity exposure is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent time management and organization skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Must be comfortable with multiple tasks
- Ability to handle sensitive matters and information with tact, diplomacy and confidentiality
