Position Summary:

Our Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through project close-out. This role ensures the successful execution of projects by maintaining timelines, budgets, and quality standards, while managing risk and ensuring safety compliance. The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, architects, and engineers. They will coordinate with the on-site team, lead project meetings, manage financials, and handle contract and change order processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively plan and execute entire project lifecycles, including developing schedules, budgets, risk management strategies, and close-out.
  • Proficiently manage budgets for projects up to $20 million.
  • Prepare, review, and administer contracts and change orders with subcontractors and vendors ensuring thorough scope coverage and compliance with project documents.
  • Responsible for adherence to project schedules, ensuring on-time delivery for multiple clients concurrently.
  • Review submittals to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Supervise the project team to ensure deadlines, milestones, and project requirements are met.
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to address design and technical challenges.
  • Lead weekly meetings with clients, subcontractors, and consultants to provide updates on project status.
  • Foster a client-first attitude to develop and grow long-term relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years as a Project Manager with a commercial construction manager, preferably with experience in both design/build and design/bid/build delivery methods.
  • Proficient using construction project management tools such as Procore, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam.
  • Broad knowledge of construction processes, construction law, and scheduling.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a face-paced environment.
  • Certification in construction management (e.g. PMP) or P.E. license, a plus.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Madison, WI before starting work.
