We are in search of a skilled Sheet Metal Journeyman with a positive attitude and a track record of successful HVAC installations. As part of our growing HVAC team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and expertly installing a range of HVAC systems. Your duties will also include setting up indoor air quality and control systems. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both colleagues and clients. Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, codes, and manuals is essential for this role. You should be comfortable utilizing a variety of HVAC tools to complete tasks efficiently. Responsibilities: • Probe tubing joints, pipes, and connections for possible leaks • Set up all heating, air conditioning, air quality, refrigeration, and control systems • Follow all applicable policies, codes, standards, and safety procedures • Communicate with clients on how to properly use and maintain their new equipment • Outline and join electrical wiring according to the diagram using hand tools Qualifications: • Journeyman Certification Required: Must have completed an accredited journeyman program • Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent • Basic understanding of electrical wiring and connections • Certification or associate’s degree from an HVAC program at a technical school and 2+ years as an HVAC installation technician • Comfortable working in crawl spaces and attics • Strong math, problem-solving, and communication skills About Company: Sphere Mechanical is a leading HVAC Mechanical Contractor based out of San Diego.
