Essential Job Functions - Prepare and post journal entries
- Review, analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Research ledger items to resolve discrepancies and explain variances
- Produce monthly reports and assist in month end closing
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Ability to self-manage and ensure tasks are done timely
- Provide documentation and supporting schedules to auditors
- Perform trend analysis on P&L accounts
- Record, depreciation, payroll, A/P accruals and tax accruals
- Handle straight-line rent entries, re occurring entries and allocations.
- Other duties as assigned
Other Skills/Abilities - Strong working knowledge of accounting (P&L and Balance sheet)
- Very focused on to detail and accuracy; double checks work.
- Has good communication and interpersonal skills
- Has strong organizational and prioritizing skills
- Has strong problem-solving skills
- Proficient in relevant computer applications; knowledge of AccPac a plus.
- Familiarity with GAAP
Physical Requirements - Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
Education and Experience - Bachelor degree in Accounting required.
- 3 to 5 years of General accounting experience.
- Solid experience and skills in Microsoft Excel
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES - Professional certification may be required in some areas.
